Red, White, and Boom
7/4/2009Click to see calendar view.Kid Friendly Event.
The Annual Red, White, & Boom - 4th of July Celebration in downtown McKinney is cooling right along. The Annual Ice Cream Crank Off and grand opening of the Doc and Cylde's Ice Cream Museum will be at Chestnut Square this year. Chestnut Square dedicated a portion of the Visitor Center to the Ice Cream Museum Display so it is only fitting that the Ice Cream Crankers crank it out in the Historic Village.

The Car Show will be at the "old" courthouse next to Chestnut Square. After you have eaten ice cream, examined the classic cars, hop on the trolley and come explore all of the shops on the square. Many will be having specials for everyone.

Here at the glass shop - Reid will be cranking out homemade ice cream for everyone who stops by.

Some come enjoy the daytime festivites, cool off with some homemade ice cream, then head out to Craig Ranch for the fireworks display in the evening.

Reid has been trying out some new ice cream recipes - so we hope to see you on the 4th!!!
